Verity
Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Verity (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them in full, including the disclaimer below — read it before you rely on anything the Service tells you.
The Service
Verity reads photos of packaged food and drink labels and reports an automated analysis: a health grade, flagged marketing claims, ingredient notes, and suggested alternatives. Every figure and claim it produces comes from a third-party AI vision model reading what is legible in your photos — it is a considered approximation, not a laboratory test or a verified fact, and it can be wrong, especially where a photo is blurry, cropped, or the print is small.
Not medical or nutritional advice — read this
Verity is a general informational tool. It is not a medical device, not a dietitian, and not medical, nutritional, or health advice of any kind. It does not know your medical history, allergies, or dietary needs. Do not use it as a substitute for reading a product’s own printed label yourself, especially for allergens, or for professional medical or nutritional advice — consult a qualified physician or dietitian before making a decision that matters to your health, particularly for a food allergy, a diagnosed condition, or a child’s diet.
No warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty that its output is accurate, complete, or fit for a particular purpose. You use every result the Service produces entirely at your own risk and discretion.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator of the Service, and anyone who built or contributed to it, will not be liable for any loss or damage of any kind arising out of your use of the Service or your reliance on any result it produced.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Verity is in its early phase: every new account is reviewed by hand before it can be used, and access may be suspended or withdrawn where necessary to protect the integrity of the Service.
