Verity

Verity is a small, early-phase tool — this page says plainly what it stores and why.

What’s stored

Your name, email, and password (never in plain text — only a salted hash). Every photo you scan (the front and back of a package) and the analysis produced for it, kept for a rolling 7 days so you can look back at what you scanned, then automatically deleted — both the photos and the record of the scan.

Where it lives

Everything above is kept on infrastructure we operate, reachable only through this app’s own servers. Each photo you submit is sent to a third-party AI vision provider (Anthropic Claude and/or Google Gemini, depending on which engine you select) solely to read the label and produce the analysis — nothing is sold, shared with advertisers, or used for anything beyond running this app for the people using it.

Cookies

One cookie: a signed login token, set only after you log in, read only to know who you are. No advertising or analytics trackers of any kind.

Account approval

Verity is in its early phase — every new signup is confirmed by email and then reviewed by hand before the account can log in. The person reviewing sees only your name, email, and signup date.
